Recently met with a business owner who said: "I have this philosophy - do not pay upfront"
I tried to understand what actually forms such a philosophy:
1. "lack of understanding of what I want, who I want and for what tasks. Hence the reluctance to "throw away" money." Well, in general, it makes sense.
2. "When I hire a consultant and in parallel still searching myself, in addition I take a freelancer and recruiting agency on success fee" Maybe someone will find the right candidate. There is a great Italian proverb - Volere la botte piena e la moglie ubriaca (A wish to have a full bottle and a drunk wife.
3. Negative experience exactly on the success fee (on the candidate's job offer), when the recruiter's goal becomes the speed of closing (and getting the fee), rather than the quality of the search and secure placement. As a result, wasted time and an unclosed search. That's what the next post will be about.
